Job Description

The Finance Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing all financial operations of the school, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining operational efficiency, and aligning financial strategies with the institution's long-term goals. The role involves managing the finance team, maintaining robust systems, and providing senior leadership with timely, accurate financial insights for effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the finance team in daily operations, including accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting. Oversee the consolidation, invoicing, collection, and reconciliation of school fees and other receivables, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable to maintain strong cash flow and financial control. Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets aligned with the school's strategic objectives. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to management and stakeholders. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support planning and decision-making for academic programs and school initiatives. Establish and enhance financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the institution's assets. Collaborate with department heads to forecast needs and optimise resource allocation. Ensure full compliance with Singapore financial regulations, including tax, audit, and reporting requirements. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions to support operational needs and future growth. Review and approve monthly payroll and perform bank submissions. Undertake any other duties as assigned by senior leadership.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) is desirable. At least 2 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably within an international private education setting. Solid understanding of Singapore's financial regulations, tax compliance, and accounting standards (e.g., SFRS). Proven experience in managing billing, collections, accounts receivable/payable, and fee consolidation processes. Strong skills in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach across departments. * Proficiency with accounting and payroll software.
