Our client is an alcohol distribution company focused on providing clients with craft spirits at an affordable price point.

As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate data capture and reconciling of finance and accounting activities monthly, preparing forecasts, doing account reconciliations and variance analysis, monitoring accounts payables, accounts receivables, and inventory, and tracking inbound shipments.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Assisting with cash flow forecasting and the annual budgeting process
• Effective management of cash flow and payment schedules
• Bank reconciliations and monthly GL reconciliations
• Processing of sales invoices and reconciling to the ordering system, together with maintenance of vendor files
• Processing of bills for expenses, cost of goods sold, and duty / GST payments
• Ensuring timely closing of the month-end in A/P
• Assist in related areas such as year-end financial statements, corporate tax returns, GST accounting, and returns
• Assigning deliveries to drivers through our fleet management system
• Managing and tracking stock inventory and transfers between warehouses
• Managing the Accounts Receivable process and working with the Sales team to follow up with debtors.

• Prior experience as a Finance Manager in an inventory-based company
• Well-versed in Xero accounting software (experience with inventory management within Xero is preferred)
• Strong Excel skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare reports suitable to present to investors/partners and communicate in layperson\'s terms
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
