Summary
We are seeking a Head of Finance to lead the Finance Department. You will be critical in driving financial strategy and ensuring the financial health and growth of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing the company\'s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls
• Implement best practices across the company to lead all financial analyses to address the company\'s needs
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company\'s goals and objectives
• Build and maintain financial models to support operational decision-making and analyze actual business unit performance against targets
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning
• Establish and manage quarter/annual budgets and drive the delivery of stretched group financial targets
• Review and audit financial models periodically to reflect changing business needs including development, improvement, and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
• Work closely with the Management team and external advisors to provide financial expertise on deal closing and investment lifecycle, and coordinate financial due diligence during the acquisition/divestment process
• Perform financial due diligence on new initiatives as needed
• Manage investor relations, maintain contact with key investors, and lead the preparation of investor materials
• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities and partnerships within the Education Technology industry
• Provide analytical support to the Executive team and Board of Directors in the areas of revenue, profitability, and cash flow
• Understand and analyze industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to inform business decisions and strategy
• Handle any ad-hoc task or projects assigned by the management team

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting / Finance or related fields
• Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CPA) are highly desirable.
• 4-7 years of Accounting / Finance experience in a similar role
• Experience with financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and investor relations
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Ability to grasp the intricacies of the education technology industry, as well as a strong understanding of market trends, risks, and opportunities
• Experience with financial software and accounting systems
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills
• Possess strong coordination and organisation skills
• Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a start-up is a plus
