This is a 3-year contract position with the opportunity for contract renewal, subject to the individual\'s performance and availability at the end of the contract. This role will support Changi Airport Group\'s subsidiary, Sift & Pick, dedicated to bringing unique, quality goods to the Southeast Asian markets through our omnichannel solution.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for various aspects of day-to-day finance operations in Singapore & Malaysia. From time to time, the incumbent will also be involved in ad hoc analysis together with their stakeholders on new opportunities identified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the full set of financial accounts, ensuring that financial data is entered into the books of account and reconciled every month.
  • Manage all accounting aspects, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements while meeting group reporting timelines and requirements.
  • Hands on responsibility for smooth running of financial operations, including but not exclusive to, payment processing, bank reconciliation, petty cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivables and inventories management.
  • Address daily finance operation queries from the business units.
  • Coordinate local statutory audits and handle quarterly GST and income tax filing for statutory purposes.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and the updating of quarterly forecasts.
  • Identity opportunities to streamline and enhance manual financial processes. Recommend and implement improvements to workflow to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide support and conduct reviews to optimize working capital and improve cash flow.
  • Assist with assigned ad-hoc projects as and when required.
We believe that you will be a great fit for this role if you have:
  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Finance or Accounting, with at least 5 years of hands-on direct experience, ideally from the retail or e-commerce industry
  • CPA qualification and/or public accounting experience with Big 4 firms would be advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and management reporting requirements
  • Good analytical thought process and business acumen, able to anticipate issues and offer ideas for resolution
  • Technically proficient with web applications and MS Office (strong Excel skills) and working knowledge of Xero accounting
  • Experience in managing/coordinating external audit and internal audit processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization
  • This is a hands-on role, where the candidate will be expected to roll up his/her sleeves and has to be comfortable working with manual processes
