Job Description

The Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for overseeing the financial health and finance department of the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO and CEOs, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach, the ability to handle multiple entities/brands and team members, and a keen sense of initiative to provide valuable insights and recommendations. The Finance Manager will oversee various financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Take a proactive approach in identifying financial opportunities and risks.

• Demonstrate initiative by taking charge of financial processes and tasks without constant supervision.
• Make well-informed and mindful decisions, considering the broader impact on the organization.

• Oversee the monthly closing of accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness and neatness of audit schedules.
• Prepare monthly reports and perform variance analysis between actual results and budget/prior period.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the CFO and CEOs.
• Offer insights and recommendations based on a thorough understanding of financial data.

• Review GST returns prepared by Account Assistants/Executives and submit them to IRAS on a timely basis.
• Liaise with the corporate secretary and tax consultant on secretarial and taxation matters.

• Plan and perform internal audits on operational and financial matters at retail outlets to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Liaise with external auditors on queries during financial year-end audit.

• Manage the inventory system, ensuring the integrity of warehouse and outlet stocks.
• Oversee quarterly and year-end stock take at both warehouse and outlets.

• Assist in setting up new accounting processes and procedures for newly incorporated entities.
• Establish SOPS for new business setups.

• Utilize experience in handling multiple entities/brands to ensure efficient financial management across diverse business units.
• Suggest and implement best practices to streamline financial processes for improved control.

• Provide financial advice and best practices to superiors, supporting them in making informed decisions.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor, anticipating needs and offering proactive solutions.

• Effectively manage and exceed superiors\' expectations through timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Communicate potential challenges and propose solutions to meet or exceed financial targets.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of financial transparency and accountability. Provide guidance to subordinate finance staff, promoting professional growth.

Qualifications:

• ACCA or Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven 3-5 years of experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of handling multiple entities/brands and managing a team.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel (v-lookup and Pivot).
