A newly created Finance Manager job has been made available at one of the fastest growing chemicals firm.

About the Finance Manager Role:
Reporting to the Head of Financial Controlling, you will oversee the finance function across Southeast Asia, leading and driving improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of regional finance functions and processes
• Ensuring timely and accurate management reporting and statutory submissions
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and handle any audit issues that may arise, as well as liaising with tax, secretarial and regulatory agents or external consultants on related matters
• Ensure reconciliation between local statutory accounts and management reporting
• Maintain proper internal control
• Identify areas of improvement in our financial processes, recommend and implement changes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage and mentor a regional team, fostering their growth and development
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by line manager

To succeed in this Finance Manager role, you must be a passionate individual who has ability to work proactively to drive results. In addition to that, you will need to be hands on and possess strong technical skills.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, or its equivalent
• Minimum of three years in audit plus one to three years in a similar capacity in a commercial finance setting
• Responsible, independent and analytical
• Team player and strong communication skills
• Readiness to both \'hands-on\' deliver and oversee tasks to meet deadline
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Prior experience in Big 4 accounting firm will be an advantage
• Working location will be in CBD, hybrid working working arrangement
