The Company

We are looking for a Finance Project / Program Manager to drive a critical project implementation to support our client, a leading insurance company. This project will focus on both pre and post go-live phases.

The Role

• Collaborate with stakeholders to review and enhance the existing SOP, detailing finance closing processes and procedures under the new accounting standards.
• Understand current and future finance processes, incorporating IFRS 17 requirements, and document them comprehensively.
• Oversee data preparation workstream, ensuring data is tested, cleaned, stored, and readily accessible for finance and actuarial teams.
• Anticipate potential roadblocks, errors, and challenges, and proactively develop strategies to address them.
• Act as a liaison between finance, actuarial, IT, and data teams, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
• Review and update SOP with controls and error handling scenarios.

• Drive the execution of the SOP by the BAU finance team, ensuring alignment with documented processes.
• Oversee closing and back-closing activities, ensuring adherence to new standards and efficient implementation.
• Monitor and address any deviations from the SOP, facilitating necessary adjustments and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

• Minimum 5+ years of Project Management experience
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS17 standards and extensive experience in finance closing processes within insurance, preferable in Life Insurance.
• Strong project management skills with a background in managing large-scale programs from a finance closing perspective.
• Good communication and leadership skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
