Position purpose

Support Finance Director and Finance Manager in day-to-day management of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Finance teams in Singapore and possibly for international markets that the Group is expanding into i.e. Hong Kong, Vietnam, Philippines. Coordination, analysing and reporting of financial operations including expenditures, forecasting, cash flow, (financial) risk management and legal/ fiscal compliance. Assist with month end closing processes including account analysis and the completion of the month end reporting package and subsequent directors report. Advise the Finance Manager and Finance Director on financial and non-financial topics.

Key Criteria

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Supports in the development and production of management reporting related to among others but not limited to:

o P&L, B/S and Cashflow, Store KPIs

• Ownership of GST/WHT submissions in various jurisdictions with the support of tax agent

• Ownership of bank and cash clearing account reconciliations

o Preparation of daily bank accounts including customer receipts and payments o Full control of cash clearing balance sheet accounts

• Prepare (and review) of journal entries, general ledger, cash flow overviews, cost variance analysis

• Supports application of Enterprise Singapore business grants in relation to technology improvements within the Group

• Ownership of opening/closing of outlets in Singapore and across markets, including the setting up of a wholly owned storefront

• Maintains relations with (external) parties like management, accountants, banks, governmental organizations. Supports with fiscal and legal compliance by for example monitoring recurring audits by external auditors

• Working together with external BI reporting agency to develop key metrics and dashboards for the group

• Periodic activities:

o Support the monthly financial statement close process o Reconcile and maintain cash/bank balance sheet and P&L accounts including posting of journal entries & accruals o Ownership of crucial balance sheet reconciliations namely ROU, fixed assets and recoverable grants o Assist to prepare documents to the auditors for year-end audit

• Continuously drives improvements allowing the (Finance) organization to keep up with the fast changing and dynamic environment Saladstop Group operates in. Ensures that the HQ Finance function is able to support the growth of the group in Singapore and also globally

• Demonstrates ability to operate in a fast-changing environment including the implementation of a new ERP system

• Reports directly to the Finance Director daily and in absence to the Finance Manager

• Supports adhoc tasks particularly in the AR/AP functions

• Willingness to grow with the group, with the possibility of rotating within the Finance function and/or working across the markets that the Group operates in

Education / Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Qualified accountant with post graduate accreditation that is recognized globally (preferred)

• 4-5+ years of progressive Finance roles

• Strong Technical Accounting Knowledge (e.g. IFRS, area tax regulations, tax, import levy). Ongoing awareness of changes external to the department and translates these into related changes, processes and practices

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both English and Chinese.

• Team player, outspoken with strong work ethic and commitment

• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills in order to combine financial constructs with business knowledge

• Ability and willingness to come up with and drive improvements and controls

• Experience with IT implementation projects and BI tools
