As we scale and mature, we are seeking a Financial Controller to professionalize financial operations, strengthen governance, and build a disciplined foundation for sustainable growth.





The Opportunity





The FC will play a pivotal role in shaping the next stage of Hepmil's journey.


Elevate financial discipline across the company. Implement stronger systems, processes, and compliance frameworks. Provide strategic financial insights to support operational decision-making. Build a high-performing finance function that can support our regional scale.
This is an opportunity to build and lead a finance organization from the ground up, and to be a key partner to the CEO and leadership team in driving operational excellence.





Key Responsibilities





Financial Governance & Control


Maintain compliance with the markets' statutory requirements and group-level financial policies. Establish and enforce robust internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance processes. Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting for management and stakeholders. Oversee audits, tax compliance, and statutory obligations across multiple markets. Manage working capital, cash flow, and financial risk effectively.
Systems & Process Excellence


Upgrade finance systems and tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Standardize financial processes across markets (budgeting, procurement, expense management, reporting). Drive continuous improvement initiatives for financial operations.
Strategic & Operational Finance


Partner with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial insights for decision-making. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning processes. Improve profitability and cost efficiency through disciplined financial management. Support evaluation of new business opportunities and long-term planning.
Treasury, Cash Flow & Risk Management


Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital for all business units across the Group Mitigate financial risk through monitoring exposures, currency, credit, and operational factors.
Leadership & Culture


Build, lead, and mentor a regional finance team. Embed financial discipline, accountability, and compliance across the organization. Partner with other functions (HR, Legal, Operations) to ensure alignment and strong corporate governance. Act as a strategic advisor and business partner to local leadership, contributing to business growth, investment opportunities, and cost optimization. Collaborate across commercial and operational teams



Candidate Profile





Essential:


12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Proven track record in financial operations, governance, and compliance across multiple markets. Strong technical foundation in accounting, audit, and tax. Experience in building and professionalizing finance teams and processes. Hands-on operator with the ability to balance detail and strategy. Commercial insight & partnership: Become the financial counterpart to commercial and media teams--anticipating revenue flows and advising on funding for campaigns. Operational excellence: Oversee and refine all finance processes from billing to working capital. Technology leadership: Guide system enhancements (e.g., Salesforce, Xero) to improve agility and control. Sector fluency: Understand media revenue models, timelines, contract structures, client profitability mechanisms. Governance in fast lanes: Uphold compliance while enabling marketing-driven flexibility. Strategic enablement: Support growth and profitability goals with actionable insight and disciplined financial management.
Preferred:


Background in media, digital platforms, or advertising industries. Experience with ERP/finance transformation projects. Familiarity with multi-entity, regional business structures.
