About the Company

Our client is a European group with headquarters in the Netherlands and operations in Asia and the US. The business has been around for over a century, supplying technical products to the maritime and industrial sectors. With revenues well above SGD 20m, they combine long-term stability with an international outlook.

The Role

The Group Financial Controller will take full ownership of the group's finance operations. You'll manage several entities across the region, lead Admins and AR staff based in other locations, and report directly to the CEO. The role requires both hands-on involvement and the ability to provide clear financial insight at management level. Travelling to get to know colleagues abroad should be expected.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee financial control for all entities in Asia, US and Europe. Lead and guide Admins / ARs across regional offices Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements in line with local rules and group standards Ensure smooth intercompany reconciliations, payments, and transfers Manage VAT filings and compliance in Singapore Support year-end audits for the regional entities Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and execute bank payments Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger Provide regular financial updates to the CEO

Requirements

5+ years' experience in a finance role within an international business Proven background managing multiple entities with turnover above SGD 20m Solid knowledge of financial regulations in and Singapore Experience with intercompany reconciliations and cross-border payments Strong VAT and audit experience Skilled in cash flow management and banking processes Fluent in English; local languages a plus Experience in inventory and stock management is a strong advantage
