Vista Musical Instruments is an innovative, global collective of music-related brands dedicated to building meaningful products and experiences for the music community. Our brands include Swee Lee, MONO, Teisco, Harmony and Heritage Guitars, and we have operations in retail, distribution and manufacturing. We need an experienced, technically-strong and confident financial controller to help lead our finance team and direct our Singapore and overseas accounting operations. Your technical proficiency will aid our organisation in implementing proper internal controls, managing accounting records and reporting, and promoting compliance. In particular, we are looking for a seasoned professional with prior accounting experience in a manufacturing firm and who possesses a deep understanding of production and retail operations. Our ideal candidate would have strong leadership skills, be highly attentive to detail and be adaptable. For this role, you will also need to be extremely proficient with accounting systems and in Excel, and must possess unwavering integrity. Responsibilities:

• Lead team in all accounting operations for our retail, distribution and manufacturing segments
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Lead team in the preparation of monthly financial and management reports on a timely basis
• Perform group consolidation (multi-currency, multinational) for Singapore and overseas companies
• Manage cash flow and working capital of the group, including cashflow forecasts
• Research technical issues for accounting and tax compliance
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and bankers to ensure all statutory and banking matters are managed
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Perform administrator duties to set up, control and manage accounting system software for all group companies, ensuring consistency with internal and external reporting requirements
• Develop and document processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls

• 5+ years proven working experience as a Financial Controller
• 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Advanced degree in Accounting; CFA/CPA certification is a plus
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practical experience with preparing financial statements, GL functions and month/year-end close processes
• Strong leadership and change management skills
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Experience in standard costing and variance analysis in manufacturing is required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
• Prior experience in US and UK accounting operations is a benefit
• Prior experience in system migrations is an added advantage
