The role involves:

  • Assisting with licence application submissions to the Monetary Authority of Singapore
  • Conducting regulatory compliance reviews to assess compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Providing advisory support on regulatory matters
  • Perform review of risk and control frameworks, regulatory returns of banks and financial institutions against applicable laws and regulations and industry best practices, and where gaps are identified, provide recommendations for enhancements
  • Developing regulatory governance frameworks, policies and procedures to enable effective management of regulatory risks for banks and financial institutions
  • Providing internal audit services to banks and financial institutions
  • Providing regulatory specialist resources to banks and financial institutions to assist them in special projects, to support short-to-long term regulatory projects
  • Assisting with strategy assessments focusing on key regulatory implications of various operating structures to support senior executives in strategic decisions
  • Providing customised training for clients including senior executives of financial institutions on banking and capital markets laws and regulations
  • Driving quality delivery of regulatory projects including management of key client and internal stakeholders. Projects may include
  • Conducting internal audits of financial institutions in areas such as compliance, operations (e.g. customer on-boarding, trade settlements) and treasury functions
  • Assessing liquidity needs of banks under MAS Notice 649 - Liquidity Coverage Ratio / Minimum Liquid Assets
  • Assessing whether outsourcing arrangements of banks have been carried out in line with MAS\' proposed Notice and Guidelines on Outsourcing
  • Assisting in preparation of presentation materials for new client proposals



The ideal candidate should have:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accountancy, Business or Law
  • At least 1 to 4 years relevant experience in the banking sector or international public accounting firm.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance roles and with a good grasp of business considerations will be an added advantage
  • Keen interest in risk and control as well as the regulatory landscape
  • Strong interest and sound understanding of financial markets and products
  • Possess strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
