Job Position: Fire / Fire Fighting EngineerJob ID: 20240229 CM (A45)AHCompany Background: Construction (Public Infrastructure, highway, bridge and etc)Salary Range: Basic MYR6,000 - MYR9,000Working Days: Mon - FriWorking Hours: 9am - 6pmLocation: Desa ParkCity, W.P Kuala LumpurJob Responsibilities * Fire Protection System Design:Lead the design and development of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire alarms, smoke control, emergency exits, fire pumps, and gas suppression systems.Drawing designs, calculations, sketches and/or diagrams to help prevent fire or fire spread

• Project Management:

Oversee fire protection projects from concept through completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while meeting all project specifications and regulatory requirements.

• Risk Assessment & Safety Audits:

Conduct fire risk assessments for buildings and facilities, identifying potential fire hazards and proposing effective fire protection measures.

• Compliance & Standards:

Ensure fire protection systems comply with local and international fire safety regulations and standards such as NFPA, BS, EN, and local codes.

• Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor a team of fire protection engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality project delivery.

• Coordination with Stakeholders:

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the proper integration of fire protection systems into building designs.

• Installation & Commissioning:

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.

• System Maintenance & Inspection:

Establish and oversee routine maintenance and inspection schedules for fire protection systems to ensure long-term functionality and reliability.

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex fire protection system issues, offering solutions to resolve problems effectively.

• Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and compliance reports related to fire protection systems.

• Continuous Improvement:

Propose improvements to fire safety processes, technologies, and systems to enhance efficiency and safety.Requirement

• Education level:

Bachelor\'s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Job Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in fire protection engineering, with experience managing large-scale fire safety projects.

• Specific skills & Computer Skills:

Proficient in fire protection design software (AutoCAD, Revit, FireCAD) and hydraulic calculation software.

• Personal characteristics:

- Well communication skills- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex issue and make informed decisions.- Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.- Strong knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations, including NFPA, IFC, and other international fire safety codes.
