Main Job Responsiblities

The First Line Manager (FLM) leads and owns the end to end results of a group of production lines, ensuring that production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental needs. The FLM is the ultimate responsible to develop the autonomy of the shop floor operational teams.

Key Output

1. Protect the Core by ensuring and sustaining safety operation, product quality and records accuracy.


Ensures compliance to health, food safety and regulatory requirements of all products manufactured. Ensures the working areas and installations in the factory complies, operates and are maintained and
working in accordance to the standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)


Ensures Safety and Quality Culture in the working environment. 2. Drive consistently performance improvement and Optimize the Factory Costs


Ensures that production plan is consistently achieved on time meeting all compliance requirements on safety,
environment and quality at lowest possible cost;


Responsible to establish and follow the manufacturing reliability required level to meet the business needs on Safety, Quality, Service and Cost; Invests time coaching teams on the shop floor monitoring compliance with operating standards and key standard routines; Collaborates with peer Production Team/Area Leaders, promotes and supports cross-fertilization of manufacturing best practices, knowledge, standards and improvements across the Factory; Owns and drives the continuous improvement in the lines under responsibility (PDCA). Ensures operational standards and routines are developed consistently for any new/renovated products and new equipment's.

Key Experiences

1. Diploma in Applied Science / Food Technology / Chemical Process Technology


2. Degree in Food/Applied Science or Biochemistry or Chemical Process Techology


3. Relevant work experience either during or after studies


4. Good attitude to work and ability to interact with people


5. Demonstration of leadership ability by leading a project within a factory environment


6. Demonstration of Leadership skills in positively confronting inappropriate behaviour and using everyday coaching to ensure involvement of the workforce.
