About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

The Platform Engineering Team designs, implements and operates the Bank\'s OpenShift Container Platform infrastructure. This includes responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our OpenShift clusters, as well as the development of new features and capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of OpenShift Container Platform, as well as experience with cloud computing and container orchestration. While the primary area of responsibility is for OpenShift Container Platform, the Platform Engineering Expert may be assigned responsibilities for secondary areas such as Big Data/ Data Lake and AI.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the Bank\'s OpenShift Container Platform strategy and roadmap for migrating applications to this platform
• Lead or champion the design, implementation, and operation of our OpenShift Container Platform infrastructure.
• Work with other engineering teams to develop and implement new microservices, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, implementing new monitoring and observability tools, and best practices.
• Develop and implement new features and capabilities for our OpenShift clusters.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of our OpenShift clusters, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and scaling.
• Work with development teams to ensure that our OpenShift clusters are able to support their applications.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in OpenShift Container Platform and cloud computing.
• Mentor and train junior engineers on OpenShift Container Platform.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with OpenShift Container Platform.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud computing and container orchestration.
• Experience with DevOps and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Kubernetes and other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience with security best practices for containerized applications.
