About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure. Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversight of risk and controls for Head of Group Wholesale and Global Markets T&O
• Set up and implement controls to strengthen risk governance across Operations Centres group-wide
• Perform targeted reviews of processes or operations centres
• Ensure standardization of processes and controls across GWGMO
• Improve risk awareness and risk culture across GWGMO
• Manage monthly UOBS and Group Risk and Controls Forum
• Manage a cross-country virtual automation team for analysis and creation of automated controls using data analytics tools
• Managing strategic or risk related projects on behalf of the Function, as required

Job Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in banking, preferably with operations or risk experience
• Experience in preparing management decks
• Proficient in excel and powerpoint
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) to deliver insights to senior management and stakeholders
• Passion to improve risk environment and automation of manual processes and controls
• Motivated and driven, able to work independently and a good team player as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Able to manage staff on a functional reporting level
