Role Responsibilities Role overview

  • The Strategic FM re-platforming programme aims at transitioning the FM trading desks away from the existing legacy Transaction Processing systems into the strategic Front to Back FM technology stack. This innovative stack is made of various state-of-the art components relying on micro-services, API and big data technologies. The programme is currently made of 20+ Squads operating front-to-back with a strong engagement of different functions, Sales, Trading, Market and Credit Risk, Operations, Regulatory Reporting and Finance.
  • We are looking for a Post Trade Delivery Lead who is very experienced with the front-to-back processing of derivatives products, particularly on Lending products, settlement, reporting and ideally on Loan IQ. Successful candidate will use his/her strengths in driving complex deliveries involving multiple teams and components while leveraging strong analytical skills to address complex requirements with global users and drive their end-to-end delivery.
The Delivery Lead will closely work with the Pre-Trade Delivery Lead (front-office) squads, hives and chapters within the programme and will assist the core programme team (Chief Scrum Masters and Chief Product Owner) to drive end-to-end execution until business go-live. The Delivery Lead will focus mainly on the following components.
  • Real-time settlement
  • Reporting
  • Integration with the non-Financial Market applications: Finance, Account management, Swift gateway, Reconciliations, etc.
  • Transverse capabilities: data modelling, front-to-back services.
The Delivery Lead will utilize in-depth knowledge of the Financial Market Derivatives products, trade processing, testing, technical knowledge and also Agile facilitation to drive effectively the development work and deliveries from different squads. The Delivery Lead will operate with a Scrum Master Lead mindset when orchestrating/facilitating deliveries, he/she will be also empowered to contribute to the transformation of the programme to nurture a value-driven environment where Agility is natively embedded, successes are jointly celebrated and transparency, teamwork are the norm.

Responsibilities
  • The Delivery Lead is an Individual contributor that synchronise the work across squads to achieve a particular feature/outcome expected by the users.
  • Facilitates regular conversation with users, squads members to identify requirements, perform gap analysis, size the work, seek for feedback and validation.
  • Uses his leadership/influence and knowledge to facilitate conversations leading to the translation of complex requirements into clear backlog items (Initiatives, Epics, User stories) executable by the squads.
  • Works closely with the Product Owners to focus on activities/deliverables prioritised and interacts on a daily basis with the Scrum Masters, Test Manager, Pre-Trade Delivery Lead and Engineers on the progress made.
  • Contributes to the overall testing strategy and actively participates into the various testing cycle from unitary testing to the more complex end-to-end testing cycles.
  • Contributes to the artefacts maintained by the core programme team: roadmap, milestones aligned to features assigned to him/her, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (as per the SCB New Ways of Working framework).
  • Implements and promote Agile best practices for backlog and artefacts management and overall operating model set in motion by the programme team.
Our Ideal Candidate Previous experience
  • 10+ years\' hands on experience as a business analyst/Scrum Master or Project Manager within the Financial Market/Capital Market Technology space.
  • Experience in interactions with FO, MO, BO, Finance users.
  • Experience in leading & driving Software/ IT Projects / Teams using Agile.
Financial Market Domain specific knowledge
  • Proficient with FM organisational construct (Front-Office, Middle-Office, Operations and Finance).
  • Excellent understanding of the Lending products and Back-office processing.
  • Good understanding of the Development and DevOps practices in the Banking industry.
Soft skills & Self-mastery

  • Strong communication and Interpersonal Skills should be able to interact with various stakeholders at different levels.

  • Collaborative tools (JIRA, Confluence, Office, Mural, Azure board)
  • Human Centred Design or Design Thinking (asset)
