The Food Processing Technician will be responsible for assisting in daily food production activities, including preparation of ingredients, cooking of sauces, operating processing equipment, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and hygienic production environment. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and the ability to work efficiently in a food manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Production
Prepare raw ingredients (washing, cutting, measuring, marinating, mixing) according to recipes and production requirements.
Assist in cooking sauces and other processed food products following standardized recipes and SOPs.
Operate food processing equipment such as mixers, blenders, and packaging machines.
Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
Portion, pack, label, and seal finished products for storage or delivery.
Food Safety & Hygiene
Comply with HACCP, SFA, and internal food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production area, equipment, and utensils.
Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials, chemicals, and finished products.
Assist in performing routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and calibration.
Inventory & Documentation
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing raw materials and packaging supplies.
Track usage of ingredients and report low stock levels to supervisor.
Complete production records, checklists, and documentation as required.
Teamwork & Support
Work closely with the Production Supervisor and team to meet daily production targets.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, quality, and safety.
Carry out any other ad-hoc production duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Preferably 1-2 years of experience in food processing, food manufacturing, catering kitchen, or related field.
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of food handling, hygiene, or food production processes.
Able to follow recipes, instructions, and SOPs accurately.
Physically fit to handle manual tasks (lifting, carrying, standing for long hours).
Ability to operate basic food processing machines.
Good teamwork skills, with a positive and responsible work attitude.
Additional Requirements
* Able to work overtime or weekends as required during peak periods.
