Food Production Supervisor

Job Description

To oversee daily food production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves supervising production staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining equipment and hygiene standards, and driving continuous improvement in production processes. Preferably with a minimum of 5 years of F&B Production/Manufacturing experience.





Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations



Supervise and coordinate daily food manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and targets. Ensure production is carried out in accordance with company SOPs, food safety standards, and quality requirements. Monitor workflow and adjust assignments to meet demand and minimize downtime. Conduct regular line checks to verify quality, weight, portion control, labeling, and packaging. Collaborate with other departments (QA/QC, Warehouse, Maintenance, Logistics) to ensure smooth production flow.

Staff Supervision & Training



Lead and manage a team of production operators and line workers. Schedule and assign daily tasks; monitor attendance and performance. Provide on-the-job training for new hires and ongoing coaching for existing staff. Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards. Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment.

Quality Control & Food Safety



Ensure production activities meet HACCP, GMP, ISO, and other relevant food safety standards. Work with QA team to investigate and resolve product quality issues or deviations. Maintain accurate records of production batches, waste, and incidents.

Inventory & Equipment Management



Monitor raw material usage and report variances. Coordinate with warehouse for timely delivery of ingredients and packaging materials. Oversee the proper use and maintenance of machinery and production equipment. Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance team for repairs.

Compliance & Reporting



Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and internal audit requirements. Prepare daily/weekly production reports, including output, downtime, and labor usage. Participate in internal and external audits as required.

Continuous Improvement



Identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. * Lead or participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S initiatives.
