Position Overview

With our strong business growth globally, Tencent International Foreign Exchange Trading Development Team is now looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our fast growing Financial Technology (FiT) business in Singapore. The team builds and owns the infrastructure to capture and store trading events across the platform. He/she will be groomed and trained to become an independent Forex software engineer capable of building highly scalable, fault-tolerant, low-latency distributed systems.

• Join a lean and focused team to building high performance systems to capture and process real-time data for trading environments
• Use open source technologies to push the limits of latency sensitive backend systems
• Integrate order management systems and execution management systems
• Identify possible enhancements; design solutions and implement new trading applications in a clean, concise way that continues to decrease latency for greater execution edge
• Build and maintain market data and transaction databases for research and analysis.

Requirements:

• Recent bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree graduates in computing related majors; local undergraduates who graduate in year 2024 are welcome to apply. Interested undergraduates will be required to commit for full-time and part-time internship prior to their graduation.
• Prior hands-on and practical experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot is essential for this role; prior engineering internship experience in financial market would be highly advantageous.
• Understanding of real-time risk, concurrent programming, scalable and high availability distributed systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies.
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive projects and initiatives.
• Excellent communications skills to communicate with various teams of all levels, especially China-based stakeholders.
