The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack goods safely and efficiently. The role ensures smooth warehouse or site operations while maintaining safety and accuracy in handling materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport goods, materials, and products within the warehouse, factory, or worksite.
Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and storage areas.
Stack, organize, and arrange materials according to storage plans or instructions.
Conduct daily inspection and basic maintenance of the forklift (e.g., checking oil, fuel, battery, and tires).
Ensure all materials are handled safely and without damage.
Follow workplace safety and operational procedures at all times.
Assist in inventory management, stock checks, and record-keeping.
Report equipment malfunctions, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Support other warehouse or logistics activities when required.
Requirements:
Secondary education or equivalent.
Valid Forklift Operator Licence / Certification recognized by local authority (e.g., MOM-Approved Training Provider).
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or construction environment.
Familiar with warehouse safety and material handling procedures.
Physically fit and able to work in fast-paced environments.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
