Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager (FP&A), this role is to support and be responsible for the end-to-end functions within the Financial Planning & Analysis operations of the Finance department. He/she will be supporting the Senior Finance Manager to manage projects assigned that are aligned to the College\'s strategies and plan. The role spans both campuses and requires regular presence on each campus as and when required.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

Deliver month-end variance analysis against budget/forecast

Prepare quarterly reports and update finance dashboards Board meetings

Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost center performance against Budget/Forecast to Budget holders and develop financial literacy among non-financial leaders

Support the FP&A Senior Manager to partner with College management (Heads of Campus, Campus, Principals, Department head etc) to produce their annual budgets and forecasts. Set budget planning process and timeline. Assist in evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets

Finance business partner for College on their budget requirements

Prepare cost analysis/scenario simulations as per business needs on specific projects to drive decision making and develop cross campuses activities

Perform ad-hoc competitor analysis through collation of information from external sources and identifying areas for improvement

Project/Business partnering

Through collaboration with the rest of finance team, contribute to review operations and recommend efficiency initiatives to strengthen and further develop reporting capability of the team with the use of business analytical tools

Assist in aligning accounting policies and SOPs and practices across campuses as set out by Financial Controller

Conduct projects as an ad hoc basis

Person Specifications

Qualification

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent. Preferably a CPA or working towards obtaining it.

Experience

At least 5 years of relevant FP&A working experience

Experience in Finance automation projects, particularly Workday, would be a plus

Strong communicator - Ability to explain financial to technical and non-technical audiences

A team player with ability to collaborate with management and functional departments

A motivated self-starter, curious, resourceful and independent; keen to learn

Detail-oriented, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Well-organised and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively

Strong business integrity and holds sensitive information in confidence

Strong financial modeling and data visualisation skills (including, but not limited to, Excel) for effective reporting
