Freelance Branded Content Journalist

Job Description


The Drum is looking for versatile journalists and content producers with a proven track record of delivering editorial excellence across a mix of media to support us on a freelance basis. The successful freelancers will help to conceive and deliver outstanding campaigns for clients of The Drum in our APAC region, across our full product suite.

Requirements

  • Work-shopping with clients to identify relevant editorial themes that align with their messaging and objectives
  • Translating client objectives into interesting take aways for our audiences
  • Ideating, writing and editing sponsored articles and reports
  • Devising themes, topics and talking points for live panels, round-tables and/or interviews
  • Moderating panels and interviews, in person and/or virtually as required
  • Ensuring all branded content is written ad edited in line with The Drum\xe2\x80\x99s style guide and tone of voice
  • Potentially supporting commercial colleagues on pitches and briefs as required
  • Supporting with the recruitment of speakers, panelists, and interviewees for branded content
Skills and Qualifications
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills
  • A track record of planning and delivering high quality content campaigns in journalism or advertising
  • Experience of leading on content within a media brand, agency or similar organization
  • Deep understanding of the media, marketing and advertising industries, specifically in the APAC region
