  • Drive continuous improvement of customer satisfaction and operational process improvement.
  • Lead the collaboration of all involved parties such as carrier, logistics service providers and internal departments to deliver the best-in-class freight forwarding operational service to the customer
  • Responsible for all day-to-day shipping operations of assigned customers
  • Engage with customers to support their requests through on-time communication and the provision of an effective solution.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Customer service:
  • Attend and respond to all customer enquiry related to shipping and operational process; assist the customer in resolving issues happened from booking to final delivery as well as billing issue and discrepancy
  • Supervise the operational performance of LSP to ensure delivered service level can meet or exceed the customers' requirements.
  • Booking handling:
  • Arrange booking with selected carriers and LSP based on customer-requested service
  • Update booking confirmation and sailing schedule to customer
  • Documentation handling:
  • Prepare, review, and/or submit documentation to the appropriate parties and customers in accordance with all applicable procedures and regulations relating to transportation;
  • Ensure on-time submission, completeness and accuracy
  • Shipment operation:
  • Coordinate with customer, internal and external parties to ensure smooth shipping process from pick up to delivery and issue billing to customer
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems that could delay the timely release or movement of freight; notify and keep the customer updated on the delay and its status.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
  • At least 5 years' operational and customer service experience in the international freight forwarding industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skill
  • In-depth knowledge of ocean freight forwarding operation
  • Multi-tasking and cross-functional collaboration capability
  • Highly self-motivated and driven
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
