Job Description

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the overall performance of the assigned department in order to achieve the maximum operational efficiency.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESConducts Daily Walk About in the Department

  • Conducts departmental readiness checks using Store Readiness Checklist
  • Monitors status of branch saleable items like the basic top SKU's, fast moving and items for re-ordering.
  • Strictly implements canvassing of prices weekly or as scheduled.
  • Determines non-saleable items such as slow, old, defective for markdown.
  • Must be able to identify the disposition/status of all items in the department.
  • Checks items that can be highlighted or ideal for promotions and proposes action plan to Store Manager.
  • Checks display on all categories with correct price tags, availability of shelf price tags, updated signages, posters, standee, etc.
  • Views Price Change Notice daily for next day price change. Ensures posting of updated prices/shelf edge tags according to the Price Change Notice and this will be printed by the Replenishment Assistant.
  • Checks attendance of the department for manpower availability.
  • Monitors the implementation of inventory such as daily cycle count, physical count, hot item list count and special inventory requests.
  • Maintains knowledge and familiarity of product name, specifications, expiration dates, proper storages, and other handling of products.

Sales Performance & Customer Service
  • Directs entire sales force in the attainment of the sales quota and finding ways and means to increase sales through strategies and other department initiatives.
  • Promotes and model customer service at all times to make shopping an unforgettably great experience.
  • Promptly attends to customer needs and complaints and ensures resolution to customer conflicts and disputes.
Manpower Planning and Monitoring
  • Prepares regular working schedules including day-offs and plans shifting schedule to all Associates.
  • Supervises the work performance of every Associates in the accomplishment of tasks and functions.
  • Ensures that company policies, rules and regulations are strongly enforced to all selling personnel.
  • Conducts daily briefing with selling personnel either during pre-shift or post-shift schedules with an inclusion of product knowledge demonstration;
  • Strictly monitors the adherence of company's policy, rules and regulations to all selling personnel and executes proper disciplinary actions to those who violated any of the policy, rules and regulations.
  • Conducts coaching and counseling to subordinates with unsatisfactory performance.
  • Evaluates all staff every quarter and discusses with them the result of the performance appraisal.
  • Monitors accurate and timely submission of reports from the Associates.
Visual Display & Proper Shelf Tag LabelingVisual Merchandising
  • Rechecks the proposed promotional tie up & bundling scheme done by the Team Leader
  • Formulates seasonal event tie ups, advertising signage and highlighting mass display to attract sales.
  • Updates display to allow variation of visual merchandising (i.e. weekly rearrangement of promotional items);
  • Based on plan, checks available areas for cross merchandise and promotional displays and reports to Head Office;
  • Monitors all active rented displays and reports to Head Office if there are discrepancies.
  • Proposes strategic area to display especially for sales event;
  • Organizes proper presentation, enticing visual merchandising and display.
  • Proposes mark down to reduce inventory of slow or excess stocks.
  • Visits competitor's store to keep updated on assortment, displays, etc.
Shelf Management Implementation
  • Ensures availability of shelf price tags prior to display of stocks especially for the new items.
  • Ensures correct and printed shelf price tags on display and regularly updates it when there is a price advisory.
  • Monitors expiration of highly perishable goods or nearly expired stocks to provide immediate action.
Reportorial
  • Daily On Shelf Availability Report
  • Weekly Price Canvas report
  • Weekly listing of expired/Bad Orders
  • Incident Report of discrepancies/issues per incident supported with correction and preventive measures.
Company Involvement
  • Abides by the company policies and business unit's set House Rules.
  • Attends meeting as required by the immediate Head and other departments.
  • Participates company-initiated activities.
  • Suggest and participates in achieving branch plans and goals.
Safety and Security
  • Detects any unsafe working conditions and safety problems; checks equipment and/or work area regularly.
  • Reports any safety related concerns to the safety officer or immediate superior
  • Follow safety and security policies and procedures.
Represents and promotes positive image of the company at all times both on and off the job.Performs other related functions as required by the immediate Head.Job Type: Full-time
