Position Overview:
The Funding Operations Associate will support the Treasury and funding teams in managing day-to-day funding activities, ensuring timely execution of loan drawdowns and repayments, accurate tracking of cashflows, and compliance with internal and external requirements. This role is critical in maintaining liquidity, optimizing funding operations, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Loan Drawdown & Repayments
Prepare and process funding drawdown requests with lenders/funding partners.
Track repayment schedules (principal + interest) and ensure timely settlement.
Reconcile loan balances with internal records and lender statements.
2. Cashflow & Liquidity Support
Assist Treasury in daily/weekly cashflow monitoring across entities.
Flag shortfalls or mismatches in funding vs. loanbook disbursement needs.
Support prefunding/rollover arrangements.
3. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain funding documentation (facility agreements, drawdown notices, confirmations).
Ensure compliance with loan covenants and internal policies.
Liaise with Legal/Finance for KYC, reporting, and contract updates.
4. Funding Operations & Processes
Maintain funding trackers (drawdowns, repayments, rollover schedules).
Update dashboards/reports on facility utilization, cost of funds, and margins.
Support system input into Treasury/loan management platforms (e.g., EPM, Ploutos, Kyriba).
Continuously seek ways to improve existing processes and increase efficiency for the funding operations team.
5. FX & Hedging Support
Support Treasury in executing FX trades related to funding drawdowns.
Record and reconcile hedge contracts and FX settlements.
6. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with internal teams (Funding, Finance, Product and Operations) to align on reporting needs.
Coordinate with external partners (banks, funding partners) on transactions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Accounting and Finance, Analytics, Computer Science or a related field is a good to have.
Experienced candidates with prior experience in Banking / Treasury roles (especially with familiarity in consumer loan receivables) is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint and some experience with finance operations systems.
Good to have some experience in programming languages such as Python/SQL.
Ability to communicate in Mandarin would be a plus due to regional coverage.
