About the Department

The Group Retail Channels & Technology & Operations (GRCTO) function supports the Retail business providing Partner, Transform and Operate expertise in the Technology & Operations domains. We take ownership for Technology & Operations projects across our leading ASEAN network delivering new products to customers, digital enablement as well as ensure our customers receive the best delivery experience via our award-winning Contact Centres and Operations teams.

The Retail business provides customers with financial solutions tailored to their personal needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for passionate open minded team players with sought after subject matter expertise. Specifically, for this role, we seek Operations transformation leaders that have led regional change programs to deliver new capabilities and levels of performance, those who are keen to learn, enjoy taking on multiple roles, and willing to step out of their comfort zone.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver Operations transformation strategy in line with local and Group business strategy and oversee the overall success and execution for the Group.
  • Define the digital agenda for Operations; embed required digital capabilities into Operations strategy.
  • Act as the Operations subject matter expert within Group Retail Channels Technology & Operations function; supporting local markets with expertise across a range of Operations disciplines e.g., productivity, capacity planning, process optimization, risk controls etc.
  • Collaborate with regional teams and Group on a continuous journey of sustained improvement within our Operations, in particular our approach to sustained productivity improvement.
  • Provide support towards continuous Improvement programs e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma etc.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify insights and improvements.
  • Represent Regional Operations as part of key strategic Group projects.
  • Joint accountability with Country leaders for relevant project mgt. inclusive of budget, risks and stakeholder management.
  • Participate in overall project governance with key stakeholders.
  • Own regional operations standards for performance KPIs, inclusive of standards for measuring key performance areas such as productivity, risk, customer experience.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor\'s degree, Masters a plus.
  • 15 years + of overall experience, ideally in Financial Services.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a Managerial role, leading a team to deliver results.
  • At least 5 years of experience in driving Operations Transformation or Process Improvement.
  • Certified or equivalent qualifications in one or more of the following: Six Sigma, LEAN, Design Thinking, Agile, Project Mgt.
  • Experienced in using Office 365 as well as exposure to different transformation tools e.g. Project mgt. software, RPA, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Entrepreneurial and ability to work autonomously and take ownership.
  • Ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders and an effective cross-functional collaborator and communication.
  • Able to frame an issue or opportunity from first principles.
  • Critical and systems thinking ability is essential.
  • Understand the risk & compliance environment specific to Operations.
  • Flexibility & adaptability to adjust priorities according to business needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills which includes presenting to C-levels.
