Chargeurs Interlining Singapore has an opening for Garment Lab Technician.

Chargeurs Interlining Singapore is a part of our Chargeurs*PCC international team that oversees the whole of South Asia Market. This includes factories in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and teams in Vietnam, Indonesia and India. We specialized in Menswear interlining and is growing in strength in our sportswear support after our acquisition of PCC last year.

This position will be hired under Career Conversion Programme initiated by Workforce Singapore and administered by TaF.tc. Individuals looking for a career switch are welcome to apply as you will get to undergo training to reskill for the job.

Job Opportunity with Chargeurs Interlining Singapore:
What we offer here is not a design house opportunity. The applicant will go through fundamental training in interlining from material knowledge to quality control. We have a strong focus on technical knowledge which helps the applicant further their career with us as an interlining or garment expert. This will greatly strengthen the core of garment making knowledge in the future.

What you will do day-to-day:

• Responsible to carry out various tests on fabrics and garments.
• This will entail cutting fabric, sewing, measuring, laundering and reporting.
• Conduct in-house quality check on fabric weight and construction, colour inspection and fabric inspection
• Operate different machines for quality control checks:
  • Fusing Machine.
  • Hydraulic cutter.
  • Sewing Machine.
  • Bond Strength Machine.
  • Colour inspection Machine
• Archiving fabric samples.
• Housekeeping for the lab.

What you will need:

• Diploma holder in any discipline.
• Basic knowledge of sewing and an interest in fashion would be a plus.
• Willing to undergo training under Career Conversion Programme Place and Train.
• Must not have worked in the same job scope.
