We drive strategic initiatives across the region, leading our portfolio of high impact, special projects. We are responsible for scoping, managing and delivering projects that require complex stakeholder management and coordination across multiple, cross-functional teams across the region. And, when things sometimes don’t work out, we embrace the failure and the lessons learned Get to know the Role: The regional logistics manager is responsible for all logistics for the GrabMart and GrabSupermarket businesses, including deliveries from suppliers to central warehouses, and warehouses to stores. As the regional business owner, you will be expected to understand and improve existing processes, sharing best practices across the region, and managing the pipeline of product features that need to be built to support the business goals. You will need to travel across our markets in Southeast Asia to appreciate the different nuances on the ground, working with in-country local team to deliver high impact projects. You are expected to have strong industry know-how for operating an end-to-end grocery business; any experience with an eCommerce business and operations would be a plus! The Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Strategy and Analysis: analyse and identify new opportunities to improve logistics operations. Prioritise opportunities to drive maximum value for the company.
  • Technology Guidance: collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-design (co-source) management and operations systems, including gathering system requirements.
  • Process Design: drive towards standardisation of work processes, including the design and documentation of those processes across multiple locations.
  • Project Management: drive projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring Tools: define and support the building of monitoring tools and dashboards to proactive track operational performance.
  • Coaching and Development: guide and mentor fellow team members to support business priorities and grow professionally
The Must-Haves:
  • Minimum 8 - 12 years of experience in logistics, planning operations, preferably in groceries, FMCG or eCommerce industries.
  • Demonstrable success in evaluating and improving processes with clear metrics and impact.
  • Strong project management skills with a solid understanding of the levers that impact the business P&L.
  • Keen understanding of operational challenges and an eagle eye for detail.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving with an owner’s mindset to pursue difficult changes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to quickly influence peers, partners and leaders.
  • Strong coaching/mentoring mindset to build stronger team members.
  • Lean Six Sigma qualifications would be a plus.
