Summary of Role

Are you an experienced legal professional with a deep understanding of contract law, corporate law and M&A ? As our General Counsel, you will be a key driver of legal strategy in our fast-growing fintech organization. Your role will encompass navigating a range of legal topics, from complex projects to daily legal management. Join our team to lead legal initiatives in an environment that\'s reshaping the fintech industry.

As the General Counsel, what will you be doing?

• Provide strategic legal leadership and guidance to the executive team, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
• Oversee compliance with financial regulations and industry-specific requirements, ensuring that our operations adhere to all applicable laws.

• Manage legal aspects of M&A activities, including due diligence, negotiations, and contract review.
• Oversee day-to-day legal operations, contracts, and agreements, providing guidance on routine legal matters.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks and challenges, offering insights and strategies to address them effectively.
• Collaborate closely with business leaders on various legal matters, addressing both routine and complex issues.
• Stay up to date on legal and regulatory development that may impact the company\xe2\x80\x99s business operations and advise the executive team accordingly.
• Oversee contract negotiation and management processes, ensuring favorable terms and compliance.
• Lead legal aspects of corporate finance transactions, including fundraising, equity offerings, and debt financing.
• Manage legal disputes and litigation matters, working with external counsel when necessary.

Requirements

We would love to get to know you if you have the following:

• At least 10 years of experience in a leading law firm. A previous experience as a General Counsel or similar role, ideally in a regulated environment within the fintech industry would be a plus.
• Deep legal expertise in contract law, general corporate law and is a must. An experience in payment regulation and funding strategies is a real plus.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to align legal strategies with business goals.
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to influence decision makers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling collaboration with diverse teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to evolving legal and business needs.
