Roles & Responsibilities The General Manager is responsible for management of renewable energy plant to deliver solutions to enjoy affordable clean energy. He will be responsible for setting up and operating a demonstration plant to produce biodiesel, biochar and synthetic gas through the pyrolysis of biomass. His key focus is to ensure the smooth processes of the plant and to produce products that meet the standards. Provides training of technical personnel and setting up additional plants overseas for interested partners or joint venture.

• Configure and optimize the processes from inception through to start up and certification.
• Perform process simulations
• Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions
• Manage cost and time constraints
• Troubleshoots machinery
• Provide training to the production team and customer on how to control the processes and ensure smooth production
• Assist in setting up commissioning of plants for self, clients and joint ventures.
• Maintain the day-to-day operations and the scheduling of the production in the Biodiesel Plant.
• Lead all safety improvement initiatives and create a safety-based culture.
• Responsible for maintaining the supplies and inventories of raw materials to maximize production levels.
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Train and update operators according to the procedures set forth in the operations manual.
• Perform risk assessments, oversees operations to ensure that operators and equipment comply with safety regulations.
• Record and track product inventory and follow security procedures for finished product inventory.
• Responsible to see that all Biodiesel personnel follow set procedures established for Bio Security.
• Ensure that all Biodiesel personnel have taken the required safety classes and ongoing updates for Biodiesel Ingredients.
• Responsible for overseeing daily maintenance and lubrication of the equipment of the Biodiesel Plant.
• Responsible for ensuring that the spare parts inventory is maintained at established levels to support plant operations.
• Oversee the unloading of all raw materials and quality checks upon which product was purchased.
• Oversee the "Product Safety Management" program and its updates and/or changes to remain in total compliance.

• Minimum education qualification: Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and other related engineering disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience and 5 years of operating experience.
• Able to support point set-up, product development, manufacturing and release.
• Experience in process simulation and using simulation software
• Experience in or has been trained to operate a chemical plant and performed plant start-up/shutdown
• Able to interpret process flow diagram (PDF) as well as process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID)
• Able to travel and perform work overseas without much hesitation.
