Who is the General Manager Finance / Deputy CFO - APAC?
Reporting to the CFO APAC, the GM Finance / Deputy CFO will play a pivotal role in overseeing and helping run and steer the main APAC Regional aspects of Finance business planning, forecasting, analytics, decision support, controllership, Operational finance, financial systems, governance & the change agenda including finance framework and execution of new launches / products.
This position requires exceptional leadership skills, maturity, financial expertise (planning and operational) and the ability to drive process improvements while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and at the same time driving and steering the finance transformation and people development agenda.
The role will take direct responsibility for the areas of FP&A / Decision Support, Finance Systems, Controllership & Finance Transformation/Change across
Key Duties:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
\xc2\xb7 Supports the development and execution of the company\'s financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives and leads the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with ALT / GEO finance leads to establish financial targets. Ensure forecast assist with operational planning.
\xc2\xb7 Monitors and analyzes financial performance against budget, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
\xc2\xb7 Oversees financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
\xc2\xb7 Provides in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve financial performance.
Regulatory Compliance and Controls
\xc2\xb7 Ensures compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws and policies and procedures in place including delegation of authority for business.
\xc2\xb7 Develops and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.
\xc2\xb7 Oversees the accurate and timely production of financial reports for the APAC business and accounts payable and receivables processes and the COE function is delivered fit for APAC requirements, including driving the leading a major project to shift most of finance APAC back-office functions to COE, payables, receivables, reporting.
\xc2\xb7 Liaises with external auditors to ensure they are satisfied with all accounting, reporting, compliance, and control practices in the business, including leading the audit program / timetable across APAC and with external parties and appropriate APAC/global stakeholders to ensure we are compliant with regards to our tax, statutory reporting, and treasury position
\xc2\xb7 Ensures our tax exposure, capital needs and working capital position is optimized, with any risks being identified and managed and the profits of the business are protected through the establishment of effective financial controls.
\xc2\xb7 Implements and maintains appropriate management accounting and reporting systems, budget controls and expenditure procedures.
Strategic Planning and Business Partnering
\xc2\xb7 Collaborates with senior management to assess and evaluate strategic initiatives, partnerships, and investments. Conduct financial due diligence for potential business opportunities.
\xc2\xb7 Assess the financial impact of strategic decisions and provide recommendations for decision making along with scenario planning.
\xc2\xb7 Ensures business review cadences with scorecards are in place to optimise performance against results and drive accountability.
\xc2\xb7 Quantifies initiatives/projects, KPI impact which includes sensitivity analysis, and evaluating ROI for new businesses/products, IT projects and strategies.
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for establishing a governance and meeting review process involving strategy / financial alignment, Business Review meetings, Business growth priority, Operational (Risk, SCM and Care), sales and growth and forecasting meetings. The operational rhythm of the business including prioritization and accountability.
Team Leadership
\xc2\xb7 Help shape and form SBI\'s for APAC wide finance ensuring ongoing delivery monitoring and accountabilities.
\xc2\xb7 Build and lead a high-performing finance team by providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
\xc2\xb7 Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Finance Systems
Ownership of the Finance Systems function. This includes but is not limited to:
\xc2\xb7 Ownership of the billing systems and process across APAC working with IT and a system design and capabilities perspective
\xc2\xb7 Works with Global Finance and IT to continue enhancement and maintenance of DAX, one stream and other global systems and continues development and enhancement of the finance infrastructure to improve processes and insight.
\xc2\xb7 Ensures finance operational process are continually enhanced via the Financial Operational Improvement Program
\xc2\xb7 Supports to the APAC finance and Ops data design and requirements for reporting and works closely with Controllership and Transformation team to implement systems and solutions for continuous improvement enhancements.
