As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire business operations, ensuring project and financial performance, driving strategic direction, and fostering a high-performance culture across departments. You will work closely with the board and executive team to translate vision into action and ensure the company remains competitive, compliant, and profitable.

Responsibilities



Strategic & Operational Leadership


Develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with the company's mission and objectives. Lead cross-functional teams in operations, finance, project management, human resources, and compliance. Monitor and improve operational processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost control.


Project Management & Delivery


Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and construction projects. Ensure all projects meet deadlines, budgets, safety standards, and client expectations. Resolve high-level operational and project issues swiftly and effectively.


Business Development & Client Management


Identify new business opportunities and establish strategic partnerships. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, consultants, contractors, and government agencies. Represent the company in key meetings, tenders, and industry events.


Team Leadership & Organizational Culture


Build, lead, and mentor a diverse team of senior managers and technical staff. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements



At least 10 years of senior management experience in the engineering or construction sectors. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects, operational teams, and company-wide performance. Strong understanding of Singapore's construction regulations, workplace safety standards, and tendering processes. Proven leadership, organizational, and strategic thinking skills. * Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to manage diverse stakeholders.
