Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a General Manager (M&E Department): Job Responsibilities:
Lead the M&E team at both Head Office and site to ensure professional, dutiful execution of all roles in compliance with company policies.
Plan and deliver yearly and mid-term awards, sales, and profit targets in collaboration with other departments.
Develop career trajectories, competency training, set KPIs, and monitor performance of all M&E staff.
Ensure optimal design, specifications, and drawings for tenders; maintain a pool of qualified subcontractors; obtain and critically assess competitive quotations.
Implement Value Engineering during tendering and project execution to maximize profit margins.
Develop and monitor project execution and cost control plans; ensure quality and timely completion of M&E works within budget.
Establish and maintain a Corporate QA/QC plan for in-process and post-completion maintenance works.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure adequate project support.
Attend to ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by management.
Oversee the design, estimation, and execution of M&E works for projects including Data Centres, private residential, and hospitality developments.
Utilize BIM for design and estimation purposes; apply green certification standards such as BCA Green Mark or LEED where applicable.
Guide staff in developing in-house contract cost breakdowns for tender assessment and post-award administration.
Manage procurement of major equipment and maintain a strong industry network.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
25 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in managerial expertise.
Proven leadership experience in an M&E Consultant, Main Contractor, or Specialist Company.
Extensive experience in design-and-build contracts, M&E tender assessment, and cost control of M&E works.
Completed full project cycles in Data Centres or M&E-intensive facilities, private residential, or hospitality projects.
Conversant in BIM for design and estimation purposes.
Green certification such as BCA Green Mark Manager or LEED Professional is an advantage.
Strong ability to develop staff in contract cost breakdowns, in-tender assessment, and post-award contract administration.
Track record in major equipment procurement.
Well-established industry network.
Additional Information:
Salary: Up to SGD 14,000 +VB (1-2 Months)
Working Location: City Hall
Working Hours: 5 Days Work, 9am - 6pm
