:THE COMPANYOur Client is a European retail conglomerate (P&L size of $800 million) with a strong global presence and SEA headquarters in Singapore. They are now looking for a GL Accountant to join their team in Singapore, reporting to the GL Manager.THE ROLEThe GL Accountant will be responsible for:
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Possesses a Degree in Accountancy/Finance. ACCA or CPA graduates may also apply
- Fresh out of Big 4 candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Prior audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
