Mercer has an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified sales and client relationship manager to bring their expertise, insight, and experience to a key role within the organization. The role will be based in Singapore.

What can you expect?

Mercer helps global clients such as those listed on key stock exchanges, with complex issues in a wide range of people and career transformation issues as well as pension and investment related functions. The firm is committed to serving these clients from a Global Client Management structure, where our staff lead client relationships for an existing portfolio of 5-10 key clients.

As a Global Client Manager, you will be responsible for growing an existing client base through the Singapore and Southeast Asia region, Asia and elsewhere of 5-10 existing key clients. You will be expected to realize annual growth of 10-15% across the portfolio to grow the existing revenue base of US$5-10M. Support, infrastructure, and opportunities will be provided to enable the necessary platform to grow the business in line with key targets.

Engaging with your global client portfolio at C-level, the Global Client Manager will gain a deep understanding of their client pain points and align a solution from the Mercer and/or Marsh McLennan tool kit to solve the problem. The successful candidate will then engage global delivery teams around the world to engage and execute on the solution in order to enable the Client Manager to cement client relationships and scope out future assignments.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage a portfolio of large complex, multinational client accounts
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with clients at C-Suite and senior executive levels to comprehend full buyer hubs
  • Open new local and global buyer hubs, including in HR, Finance, IT, Procurement, Risk, and DEI
  • Develop and continue to hone an advanced knowledge of client\xe2\x80\x99s global and domestic business and workforce practices
  • Establish and build an expert knowledge of global Mercer business strategy, structure, and competitive environment
  • Bring the voice of the client for innovative solutions to internal thought leaders to build our intellectual capital
  • Navigate across multiple geographies and teams to lead client retention and renewals
  • Serve as a role model for issue-led selling and link client needs to Marsh McLennan solutions and experts
  • Establish, grow and leverage your broad internal network to connect others within Marsh McLennan to sell and deliver solutions
What you need to have:
  • More than 15 years professional services and client industry experience, with a record of driving retention and growth directly with clients at the senior executive level with a primary focus on delivering quality and financial results
  • Influencing and Persuading skills with the ability to drive activities and growth across various areas of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of Mercer\xe2\x80\x99s global solutions and client business climate and ability to leverage internal networks along with a global mindset and cultural sensitivity as well as global governance skills with the ability to manage every aspect of the client lifecycle.
  • Dedication to quality in all aspects of your work performance and client services, with a passion for excellence
  • Solution focused approach and attitude. Sales acumen utilizing strategic issue-led selling skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; a team player who naturally maintains solid working relationships with colleagues and key client stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication style; able to effectively associate with various audiences, adapting your approach as appropriate. Sound listening and comprehensive skills a must.
  • Commitment to professionalism and providing high-level client service to exceed client expectations combined with business acumen and commercial discipline
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage a fast-paced workload
