The Company Our conglomerate client is seeking for someone who relishes having an autonomy, high visibility and enjoys being hands-on, for their Global Data Governance & Master Data Management (MDM) Lead role, to generate and implement an organizational data governance program. You must possess a strong background in MDM and the ability to drive the implementation of a global MDM platform. The successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for data quality concerns, best practices, endorsing data enhancement and evaluating the impacts of these initiatives.

The RoleThe role of a data governance and master data management professional involves developing and implementing data governance frameworks and collaborating with IT and data owners to guarantee their acceptance in the business. This includes advocating data management solutions to ensure their relevance and effectiveness in supporting business needs and compliance with data governance frameworks. To support these efforts, the professional produces and maintains domain maps, data dictionaries, and a catalog of key data repositories and their owners. Partnership with technology and other cross-functional teams is required to understand data-related challenges. Finally, the successful candidate will maintain a list of data owners and stewards, and data lineage in various data repositories.

Your ProfileThe ideal candidate for a data governance or related data function position should have a Bachelor\'s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or Engineering, with a Master\'s degree considered advantageous. A minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance or related data functions is required, along with experience working in financial services or an international corporation. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate proficiency in data analytics programming languages such as SQL and Python and have experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar. The candidate should possess a solid understanding of data governance and data quality industry practices and frameworks, as well as knowledge of business, regulatory, and technology issues related to the governance and management of data. The candidate should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. In summary, the ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical skills, industry knowledge, and soft skills to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the role.
