Our client is a top tier international firm in Singapore and is looking to expand its banking and finance team. The team advises clients such as international lenders and corporates on acquisition financing, structured & limited recourse financings, as well as margin lending across Asia.
Renowned as the leading law firm for advice on complicated and innovative transactions, our client ranks in the top tiers of the legal directories in many of the world's most important jurisdictions and its teams are known for providing the highest quality legal advice in every major financial centre.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

• Taking the leading associate role on transactions and driving them through, from the initial stages through to closing
• Drafting and negotiating finance documentation, demonstrating familiarity with the latest trends, precedents and market standards
• Providing sound commercial and legal advice to clients
• Supervising, managing and mentoring junior lawyers in the team; leading by example and being a team player
• Networking with clients and other market players alike, in order to capitalize on new business opportunities
• Contributing know-how and experience to the team

Key Requirements:

• 3 - 8+ PQE (UK scale);
• Admitted in a common law jurisdiction (ideally, EW or ANZ);
• Excellent drafting and mastery of the fundamentals of contract and finance-related law;
• Broad general banking experience or experience specialising in leverage finance, as well as familiarity with market precedents (be it in Asia, Europe or the US) is essential;
• Experience within a top tier international firm would be an advantage;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking and negotiation skills;
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
