Art Works Group Business Units

  • Art Works Gallery: Our newest business unit, the Art Works Gallery, is set to open on 1st December 2023. Located at One Holland Village, this upcoming gallery specializes in decorative art pieces for your home. With a diverse range of artworks, pricing begins from $2,000 SGD and can reach upwards of $25,000 to $30,000 SGD, offering something for every budget.
  • Art Works Advisory: The launchpad of Art Work, the unit offers comprehensive art advisory services. With our team of experienced advisors, we provide guidance on art investment, portfolio management, and market insights, assisting our clients in making informed decisions to build a lucrative fine art portfolio
  • Art Works X: Launching in January 2024, Art Works X, utilizes blockchain technology to facilitate transparency and security in art transactions. It enables fractional ownership of blue chip works with a low cost of entry, making art investment accessible to a broader range of investors.
  • Art Works Fund: The Art Works Fund is a USD $100m investment fund dedicated to blue-chip art. With a focus on capital appreciation growth, this unit provides an avenue for both UHNWI, family office and institutional investors to tap into the lucrative global contemporary art market.
With these four distinct yet interconnected business units, Art Works Group continues to revolutionize the art collecting and investment landscape.

Role Overview The Art Director will play a strategic role in leading The Art Works Group\'s art investment and advisory efforts, building its reputation as a leading art advisory group. The individual will work closely with the management, operations, and marketing teams to drive growth and success for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Create and deploy Art Works Group\xe2\x80\x99s internal and external art education curriculum
  • Develop and implement The Art Works Group\'s art acquisition and exit strategy
  • Research and provide expert advice and guidance on art investment opportunities
  • Work with the Group Investment Strategy team to identify potential works for acquisition
  • Develop Art Works\xe2\x80\x99 portfolio of emerging artists for sale at the retail gallery
\xe2\x80\xa2 Support the evolution of Art Works Advisory to elevate value proposition and include secondary market offerings \xe2\x80\xa2 Build and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, galleries, and other stakeholders in the art world, with a focus on London and New York
  • Provide clients with comprehensive advice and guidance on all aspects of art investment, including market trends, valuations, and risk assessment
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and other relevant activities to promote The Art Works Group and build relationships
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in the art investment market and maintain a deep understanding of the market
  • Work with the marketing and operations teams to promote the company\'s services and increase exposure for the business
  • Identify the optimal time to sell works in order to maximize profits for both the company and its clients through the appropriate sales channel.

Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience working in art institutions such as Christie\xe2\x80\x99s, Sotheby\xe2\x80\x99s, Bonham\xe2\x80\x99s etc.
  • Background and expertise in Post War and Contemporary Art
  • Experience of negotiating and transacting artworks of over USD $5m
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with artists, collectors, galleries, and dealers with access to key stakeholders in London and New York
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience in both primary and secondary markets with an existing network of contacts in the art world is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for art and finance and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
