The Role Responsibilities

Job Summary

As a strategic and senior Data and Analytics leader of the Standard Chartered Group CDO Office and member of the Group CDO MT, set vision, partner and deliver the following responsibilities

Responsibilities

Data Risk Management & Control Assurance

  • Closely track delivery of commitments and making available the timely provision of information to risk committees (CRC and GORC) and regulators as required.
  • Establish and oversee a portfolio level Assurance capability to assure quality and predictability of programme delivery.
  • Ensure awareness of data management & privacy is within the business lines and functions and regions (including their PGCs/FORCs/CORCs)
  • Serve as the central data risk assurance function within TTO while assisting with data risk assessment conduct and remediation coordination across various TTO capability teams and leaders.
  • Be the central team for visibility to all GIA, 2LOD Assurance and RCSA generated risks and treatment plans dashboarding and management in partnership with the CDO.
Data Partnering
  • Keep teams in TTO & beyond abreast of the latest status of various CDO programs.
  • Support all necessary partnering for the Platinum underway DPTP program.
  • Partner with various B&F data teams to plan for D&A strategy refinement, investment characterization and data risk management activities
  • Influence B&F committee and leadership teams to ensure alignment with the overarching Standard Chartered data strategy and investment roadmaps.
  • Manage expectations between DPTP workstreams and squads and B&F defensive data teams to ensure appropriate implementation and update of central D&A capabilities.
  • Support all Business, Functions, Regions & Countries data governance mechanism planning and orchestration.
  • Provide D&A training to B/Fs (as appropriate) on the capabilities within the CDO and wider enterprise D&A umbrella.
Data Governance
  • Collaborate with business, technology, and cross-functions to develop understanding of data requirements, challenges and pain points
  • Drive enterprise-wide data mgmt. maturity assessment, define the current state, future state and north star
  • Develop enterprise data operating model across people, process, technology and governance
  • Shape data strategy roadmap that leads to value realization, including investment plan and business case
  • Lead the CDO representation at various governance and risk committee forums at group, business, and region level
  • Facilitate drafting of key papers and matters requiring attention updates at the various risk committees.
  • Partner with 2LOD functions on co-authoring of key policies and framework for enterprise data management and governance as applicable and working across the enterprise to enable friction free adoption and enablement in partnership with the various 1LOD business and TTO teams.
Processes & Resilience
  • As part of the TOM development and implementation, embed the data management & governance operating model within the Groups\xe2\x80\x99 Process Universe and ERMF.
  • Provide overview on the development of playbooks that include business actions to address impacts.
  • Build our understanding of the ability to recover, recreate and test data following a compromise.
  • Define our engagement process with the various crisis management and incident management teams (T& I, CDC, Group, Countries)

  • Champion and act as a role model of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s values and culture in the region
  • Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement, ensuring everyone in Operations are drivers and owners of client outcomes.
  • Set effective metrics and standards, transparently communicating them to team members, providing feedback and rewarding employees accordingly. Set the appropriate tone and expectations for the wider team.
  • Employ, engage, and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
