Overview:
Supply and Trading (S&T) is the commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals (DS&C). S&T applies its knowledge of commodity markets, the well head-to-customer value chain and transportation logistics in the crude, gas, and refined products markets to maximize the value of enterprise assets and enable the commercial success of Upstream and DS&C. S&T buys, sells, and supplies crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and gas liquids to support Chevron\'s crude and gas production operations and its refining and marketing network. S&T integrates enterprise-wide supply and trading capabilities to capture commercial opportunities across the entire value chain through commercial functional excellence.
Gas Supply and Trading (GSAT) is responsible for marketing Upstream\xe2\x80\x99s gas, LNG and LPG production as well as trading 3rd party volumes. With offices in Perth, Singapore, London, Houston and Calgary our global teams procure, transport, and market pipeline and seabourne gas products to maximize the value of Chevron\xe2\x80\x99s Upstream production. We work in close collaboration with Chevron Shipping, Pipeline and Power and third parties to transport gas for internal and external customers around the world.
GSAT is tightly integrated with the internal Value Chain Optimization (VCO) organization and Upstream to capture opportunities across the entire well head-to-customer value chain. The team collects and leverages market intelligence to deliver incremental value and enhanced profitability through strategic arbitrage, storage, and third-party trading, balancing the Chevron system and proactively managing changing gas & gas liquids flows to ensure flow assurance.
This position of the Global LNG Trading Manager is based in Singapore and leads a global team that is responsible for trading LNG both from Chevron\xe2\x80\x99s upstream assets as well as third party cargoes. The global LNG team is also responsible for adding value to the business through optimisation of Chevron\xe2\x80\x99s global LNG portfolio and third party volumes. Chevron\xe2\x80\x99s LNG portfolio is expected to grow significantly by 2030.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Accountable for developing the business plan for the global LNG trading team and delivering results for earnings, cash flow, operating expense, inventory, safety, compliance, and critical milestones.
Lead the development and implementation of global trading strategies.
Lead global trading initiatives along with London LNG Trading Manager.
Direct the execution of trades to ensure system flow and maximise enterprise value.
Develop Organizational Capability that enables trading, optimisation, and third-party business to grow and sustain business objectives.
Ensure deal exposures are tracked closely and adhered to all Chevron trading procedures and controls.
Partner with the Origination and Value Chain Optimisation teams to develop the global LNG portfolio strategy.
Manage price exposure in the global LNG portfolio and perform asset-backed trading activities leveraging the Chevron\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio.
Acts as Subject Matter Expert for LNG across the wider Chevron enterprise.
Advise on commercial and operational risk components of spot and term deals.
Collaborate with origination team that enables business development and realize origination initiatives.
Ensure sustained One Team effort through collaboration with partner organizations such as Value Chain Optimisation, Shipping, Upstream, Finance, Legal, Risk, Contracts, and others to maximise enterprise value.
Ensure procedures, systems, and controls are developed, maintained, and enhanced to meet business requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of LNG trading and/or origination experience including managing position risk and exposure aggregated across the globe.
Confident leader with demonstrated ability to lead a global diverse team.
Energised leader who can assume considerable responsibilities in a pressurised environment, with a focus on achieving sustainable business results.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and develop complex deal structures to generate/capture new business and grow earnings.
Strong growth mindset and commercial acumen to identify and capture optimization opportunities and creating third party profitable trading opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to develop trading strategies for short to long term time horizons inter-regionally for physical and financial commodities in pursuit of system optimization and trading for profit.
Ability to understand market alternatives and utilize that knowledge to make decisions in the best interest of the enterprise.
Demonstrated expertise in exposure and risk management. Ability to articulate market view, outstanding exposure and activities taken to manage risk.
Experience in negotiating/contracting agreements in LNG.
Ability to build industry relationships to facilitate new business.
Strong entrepreneurial and negotiation skills.
Strong team player.
Ability in applying and leveraging digital tools for deal evaluation and risk determination in support of trading strategies.
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent from one of the following fields: Accounting, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or Marketing.
Relocation Options:
