Description

LNG Trading Assistant - Energy Trading Multinational

• Across physical, derivatives, hedging
• Prior Market Risk / Middle Office experience
• Exposure reporting / management

This is a reputable energy trading trading MNC with a global presence that trades LNG and oil across the barrel including Crude and Oil Products. Singapore serves as the Asia Pacific Headquarters. Due to business expansion, there is now a need to hire an LNG Trading Assistant to support the high performing commercial team.

Role

Reporting to the Commercial team, the trading analyst will be supporting the trading desk on all analysis including PnL and exposure flux, working capital analysis, trade flows understanding, margin analysis, supply and refinery planning and any ad hoc new projects involvement. The trading assistant will work closely with internal senior management stakeholders and be an integral team member in new business initiatives, systems transformation, and transfer pricing forecast.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a mathematics / finance / business / engineering discipline with at least 3 years\' work experience in commodities trading environments, ideally from the energy sectors. You will be driven, independent, have an eye for details and is a strong team player. Those with strong IT competencies in programmes including Power BI, Python will have a distinct advantage. To excel in the role, you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
