The company is going through growth across major markets worldwide in terms of its niche market position due to its continuous improvement in advanced research development and innovative product development.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
They are currently on an active look out for a suitable candidate as a Global Logistics Transportation Director who can essentially spearhead the study of the entire logistics value chain to further optimize the growth with insightful analysis of the logistics operations across all multi-modal solutions.
Key responsibilities of this role, reporting to GlobalDirector, Logistics Operations would include:
Leading a Global Freight Team with whole responsibility for overseeing and directing global freight and outbound related operations and projects
Identify and execute freight network optimization opportunities and partner with Supply Chain to drive implementation.
Work with analysts to analyse all logistics / freight modes: Air Freight, Sea Freight, Parcel, Cross-border, Road Transportation, Cross-Dock via data analytical tools and softwares
Developing implementation and design new business processes and process improvements.
Enriching the supply chain & logistics process with intelligence (communicated impacts) through a structured approach to quantify and provide effects of any operational impacts.
Accountable for all analysis and maintain the performance reports and data of the logistics and supply chain solutions providers
Driving spend reduction opportunities, optimize cost for operations, inbound, inventory holding and customs, etc.
Accountable for reporting weekly performance, cost structures and impact of strategic goals.
Developing corrective measures in terms of root cause identification and liaise with logistics and supply chain solution providers to establish methodical improvements.
Negotiating with stakeholders (internal) to drive consensus and opportunities to fruition.
Candidate Profile
Singapore • Permanent
Minimally possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering related discipline
Min. 20 years of relevant operations experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, particularly in Transportation would be advantageous
Min. 8 years of track records in Logistics / Freight Analysis / Industrial Engineering would be advantageous
Exposure in 8D, DMAIC and Six Sigma type of Quality methodologies would be advantageous
Excellent communication, collaborative, problem-solving and leadership skills with track records in manage complex challenges and managing senior executive leadership team
Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel
