Our Client is a leading global financial institution that delivers a broad range of financial services across investment banking, securities, investment management and consumer banking.

Overview

Franchise New Business Group (FNBG) is a part of Client Experience Group within Global Market Divisions Operations and is responsible for managing onboarding requests to ensure requests are properly managed and completed by expected timeline by working closely with our clients, internal teams, which includes Sales, Credit, Client Onboarding, Trading Documentation Group. The goals are to create efficiencies in the onboarding process, increase throughput and improve the client experience.

Responsibilities:

FNBG works very closely with Sales and multiple internal groups including Legal, Credit Risk Management and Operations to ensure clients are set up to trade.

  • Work with Sales to prioritize onboarding requests,
  • Drive the documentation and account opening processes for prioritized clients from initiation to completion,
  • Serve as point person for clients in the onboarding process,
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Legal, Credit Risk Management, Counterparty Risk and Operations,
  • Provide transparency to Sales and clients on onboarding status,
  • Act as initial escalation point for clients and internal groups for issues/bottlenecks in the onboarding process
Qualifications:
  • Degree in a relevant subject matter
  • Ideal candidate will have worked in or have worked in pre-executions / onboarding functions
  • Drive and Motivation - Successfully handles multiple tasks, takes initiative to improve his/her own performance, works intensely towards extremely challenging goals and persists in the face of obstacles or setbacks.
  • Be able to strike good balance in between Risk Management and Commercial
  • Effectively handles difficult requests, builds trusting, long-term relationships with clients and manages client/business expectations as well as being able to view problems through the eyes of the client.
  • Communication Skills - Communicates what is relevant and important in a clear and concise manner and shares information/new ideas with others.
  • Business and Regulatory focus - to be able to build different jurisdictional regulatory, and product specific requirements in regards in pre-execution space
  • Teamwork - Strong team player, collaborates with others within and across teams, encourages other team members to participate and contribute and acknowledges the contributions of others.
  • Judgment and Problem solving - Thinks ahead, anticipates questions, finds alternative solutions and identifies clear objectives. Sees the big picture and effectively analyses complex issues.
  • Creativity & Innovation - Looks for new ways to improve current processes and develop creative solutions that are grounded in reality and have practical value.
