:

Our client develops, markets, distributes a wide range of market-leading, branded prescription medicines and consumer healthcare products to over 20 countries across Asia, Australasia, Africa, Europe and Middle East.

This position will be based in the Singapore office as the sole legal support for the supply chain organisation globally and report directly to the Regional Legal Counsel, Asia (based in Singapore).

Key Responsibilities

Provide sound, efficient and effective legal services and advice to the supply chain organisation globally, including:

• Serving as trusted advisor and legal partner to the Operations team to support their work with their international network of external manufacturing partners and logistics providers, providing strategic legal advice and driving important initiatives.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of supply chain related commercial contracts including manufacturing and supply agreement and service agreements.
• Provide legal guidance to internal teams on supply chain matters, such as procurement, logistics and transportation, and also intellectual property ownership/licensing.
• Analyse and mitigate legal risks associated with supply chain operations, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Managing disputes arising from the supply chain organisation including the managing of external counsel.
• Key contributor to the innovations and product launch processes.
• Support the Operations team and external manufacturers in managing ESG initiatives and compliance/reporting (including Modern Slavery compliances).
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement supply chain policies and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to the internal team on supply chain legal matters.
• Occasional business travel may be required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree or above in Law (essential)
• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience gained in-house or in a reputable firm (essential)
• Strong experience in general corporate and commercial law (essential). Specific experience in supply chain / operations work (desirable, but not essential)
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry or FMCG (desirable)
• Sound knowledge of anti-bribery and corruption laws and industry codes (desirable)
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and lean organisation and to deliver support where needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
