Responsibilities:

Oversee daily golf course conditions, including mowing, fertilization, aeration, topdressing, and pest/disease control to ensure optimal playability. Manage irrigation systems and schedules based on turf needs and weather conditions, promoting effective water conservation practices. Roster, supervise, and train maintenance staff; maintain accurate records on attendance, overtime, and medical leave. Coordinate and supervise course setup for daily play, club events, and major tournaments, ensuring high standards are met. Assist in maintaining and repairing turf equipment, buildings, and course infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency. Conduct regular stock-takes of fertilizers and chemicals; maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper usage and storage. Ensure adherence to government regulations (e.g., WSH, NEA, SCDF) and liaise with relevant agencies when necessary. Support budgeting and planning, prepare reports for management meetings, and coordinate with golf operations and Greens Sub-Committee.

Requirements:

Solid understanding of golf course play, design principles, and turfgrass management practices. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control, high motivation, and a commitment to delivering results. Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects efficiently. Effective team leader who promotes collaboration, fosters a positive work environment, and supports team development. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders. Skilled in leading diverse teams; adaptable to changing environments and sensitive to cultural differences.
