Job Overview - Golf Service Ambassadors

The Golf Service Ambassador (GSA) is a key member of the Golf team and must be able to adapt to meet the rapid changing demands and requirements of golf operations. All Members and golfers are to be given the best service possible. On-the-job training will be provided.

It is critical that the Golf Service Ambassador provides excellent customer service, ensuring friendly and efficient service, recognize regular golfers and Members of the Club. The GSA must be able to deal effectively with Members and golfers, understand golf course etiquette and use of golf course equipment and is able to diplomatically handle customers in various scenarios, including challenging situations; identify opportunities to provide suggestions and promote upcoming events in and around the Club. The services rendered must support the goals of the Club.



The GSA is responsible for providing first-contact customer interaction, administration and management of day-to-day golf operations including but not limited to the following:

• Assist in all aspects of merchandise sales in Golf Department
• Assist in golf bag and buggy staging area
• Assist in marketing efforts, provide suggestions to signages, campaigns and events in line with Club\'s directions
• Checking in golfers
• Handling front desk duties, phone and email enquiries in a professional manner
• Keep informed and monitor inclement weather, responsible for evacuation and safety of golfers
• Maintains accuracy records of in terms of disciplinary and offences committed by members and guests
• Maintenance of golf handicap
• Management of golf events held in the Club to ensure smooth operations
• Management of pace of play on the course and to ensure that golfers observe golf etiquette, rules and safety
• Preparation of weekly or monthly golf reports/statistics
• Any other tasks assigned by the Management

Job Requirements

• Ability to remain calm while handling difficult situations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Pleasant personality, positive attitude and self-motivated
• Proficiency in MS applications
• Service orientated, drive to promote golf and related facilities in the Club
• Versatile in golf operations and administrative functions
• Able to commit work in shifts, weekends, public holidays on six-days\' work week
• Entry Level Degree Holders are welcomed
