The Opportunity

  • Adecco is partnering our client, one of the world\'s largest tech organizations
  • We are looking for a Government Affairs Asst. Manager
  • The role will start out as a contract
  • Candidates who are immediately available/ able to start work within short notice will be preferred
The Talent
  • Experienced with government affair-related roles
  • Policy creation / legal / public policy related experience
  • Education in relevant field


Risk management
  • Create playbook for specific emerging Gov\'t policy or regulatory risk topics that affect or may affect company business, when needed
  • Create and execute pre-emptive risk management (PRM) action plans, where triggered
  • Where non-compliance risk event occurs, coordinate risk mitigation action, as required
  • Cultivate government relations
B2G business development
  • Guide B2B teams on Gov\'t spending priorities
  • Work with relevant members to execute B2G business development plans on priority Gov\'t sectors
Engaging multi-lateral development organizations (MDOs)
  • For advocacy and Gov\'t business projects, MDOs provide neutral, trusted thought leadership, advocacy and even funding
  • Identify, develop and monitor progress of multi-country program opportunities with MDOs
  • For assigned MDO projects, set and achieve project target milestones
Operation
  • Communicate to government stakeholders, organize opportunities (whether social or working functions) for key government officials to meet executives
  • Develop Government Relations practice (benchmarks, case studies, annual evaluation, etc) with monthly calls, dashboard update, reporting to HQ top management, annual workshop
  • Other additional duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
Compliance
  • Comply with the law in the jurisdiction where the HQ operates in the conduct of GR duties, including all applicable anti-corruption law. This involves: performing all duties in a lawful manner; where appropriate, satisfactorily completing relevant compliance training; and, reporting and escalating compliance concerns, issues and failures in accordance with local jurisdiction\'s policies.
