Government SectorSalary: up to $20 per hourWork Location: Buona VistaDuration: 6 months:We are looking for self-driven, committed, and inquisitive analysts to enhance our wastewater-based surveillance program at the Environmental Health Institute (EHI). Wastewater-based monitoring has immense potential for informing public health initiatives and policy. If you enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment where your work is translated into evidence-based outcomes, we invite you to join us.You will be part of the Wastewater-Based Epidemiology team and will be involved in laboratory operations of wastewater surveillance, including laboratory processing, quality management, biosafety, and procurement.Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, or related disciplines, with preferably 3 years of experience in laboratory testing or research.
• Experience managing contracts, procurement, inventory, and data to ensure smooth and timely operations.
• Experience working in BSL2 settings.
• Proficient in aseptic microbiological techniques.
• Skilled in molecular diagnostics techniques such as qRT-PCR, and associated data analysis and reporting, quality control, etc.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and appreciate the requirements of strict timelines and urgent work demands.
• Excellent analytical skills and systematic in planning.
• Able to multitask and work effectively in a team.
• Willing to work after office hours and weekends if required.
• Task-oriented and meticulous, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
