Job Summary: This position is responsible for the recording, reconciling, analyzing and reporting of financial information for the various MINT entities. This associate will interact with a variety of stakeholders across the business so strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. This role forms part of Markel\xe2\x80\x99s accounting and finance group (A&F).
Duties and accountabilities Finance:
Submission of invoices / bills for payment processing
Liaising with external vendors on settlement updates
Maintaining records of staff and vendor expenses and collation of supporting documents
Run and analyse expense reports with line manager
Prepare / update slides for weekly team meeting
Prepare regulatory and tax returns (quarterly and yearly)
Prepare stat accounts and management PL as instructed/ guided
Credit control:
Allocation of premium received in Eclipse system
Reply broker when they submit queries
Submit brokerage or premium payment requests as directed
Compliance:
Assist with terms of business agreement finalisation and issuance, adding new producing brokers to internal system
